The villa from the late 14th century is surrounded by beautiful gardens. It is fantastically situated in the beautiful landscape of the Arno Valley in the Chianti region of Tuscany. The villa was built by the Florentine notary Ser Ristoro. Historical components, such as the former chapel "Capella Maria Lucciolli", as well as a beautiful salon from the year 1400, with paintings, sculptures, furniture and armour, have been preserved until today.

    The villa is located in the heart of Figline Valdarno and is surrounded by walls that screen a beautiful Italian courtyard and gardens from the outside. The area invites you to go on excursions through the beautiful landscape of the most famous wine regions. In the old town of Figline Valdarno you will find bars, restaurants and a number of shops in historic buildings.

    The villa has a total of 60 elegant living units with rustic Tuscan furnishings.

  • Wine & Dine

    The restaurant Il Convivo in Casagrande is located in the cloister during the warm months and in the knight's hall during the cold months. You can expect Tuscan delicacies and good wines in a stylish atmosphere.

  • Wellness & Spa

    Where the castle walls used to be, today the SPA Elysium awaits you with various treatments, fitness, sauna, hammam, relaxation room, experience showers and a seasonal, heated indoor pool. The summer pool is located on a small hill and after a refreshing swim you can enjoy delicious drinks on the terrace.

  • Wine & Olive Oil

    The Villa Casagrande has its own "Fattoria" in which olive oil and Chianti wines are still produced today. All products can be bought directly.

Villa Casagrande has a long tradition of cultivating Chianti vines, from which the famous wines are made.
During your stay you will have the opportunity to taste this wine during a wine tasting. The wine tasting is already included for you.

Housewife-style cooking

Here you can get to know the traditional and familiar way of Tuscan food culture. You will learn the basics of typical cuisine, such as pasta, sauce dishes, bread, pizza, etc. The course takes place in the former kitchen of the Countess. An active cooking experience lasting 3 hours. Of course there will be a meal together after cooking. This experience is optional and can be booked on site..

Il Convivio in Casagrande

The restaurant is located in the ancient knights' hall during the winter months and in the cloister during the warmer months. You have a small choice of dishes per course. Enjoy the fine cuisine of this land with spicy and aromatic products of ancient Tuscany. We recommend that you book a table in advance.

Spa Elysium

Open all year round, the wellness and fitness area offers the opportunity to forget everything for a moment and relax completely. The wellness area has a sauna, hydromassage, Turkish bath, experience shower & relaxation area. Access to the wellness area is only possible by prior reservation and only for a family unit (max. 6 pers.). Appointments can only be made on site
